How Valorant Skirmish Placement Duels Work
Skirmish placement matches are the three duels that put you on an Ascension leaderboard for the first time. Play them in the 1v1 queue and you get a 1v1 rating; the 2v2 queue calibrates on its own, with its own three matches and its own board. Until those games are done you have no Skirmish rating at all, which is why the starting point carries more weight here than anywhere else in our Valorant boosting catalogue.
Why the Price Is Read Off Your Competitive Rank
Before calibration there is no Skirmish number to price against, so the only honest signal of how hard your duel lobbies will be is your normal competitive rank - that is what the calculator asks for. It is also why the same three matches cost a Radiant player more than an Iron one: the opposition scales with the account, and rating is awarded on a win-loss record weighted by opponent strength, so tougher duels are simply more work.
What Three Duels Are Worth
Placements are the gate for the participation rewards as well as for the ladder. Three placement matches in a single queue unlock the player card Act 3 Key Art - Combat Ready, and fifteen Skirmish matches in total - either queue counts toward that one - unlock a second card, Homepage - Trade Me. Rewards are not pushed into your inventory: they appear as text codes in the FTW rewards tab and are redeemed on Riot's code page.
Register on FTW First
Nothing counts until the account is registered for the Skirmish leaderboard on Riot's FTW site with a Riot account linked to it. Matches played before that registration are invisible to the ladder, placements included. We check it before the first duel and ask you to finish the registration in chat rather than spending one of your three games on a match the board will never see.
What We Commit To
A Skirmish placements order is sold as a win target agreed in chat before the first match, not as a promised rank: rating is handed out on opponent strength, so nobody can honestly promise a fixed placement. Finish under the target and we play additional duels at our cost until it is met, or move the difference to your balance for another order - our Refund Policy sets out how that is handled.
After Calibration
Once the board has you, climbing it is a separate job: Skirmish rating boosting takes your placement result toward Immortal or a top-100 spot. Note that Ascension runs in event windows and the last one closed on 22 June 2026, so orders now are booked against the next opening. For the ordinary 5v5 act reset, use placement matches instead.
