In this article, I'll tell you everything you need to know about Apex Legends progress through one EA account. Apex Legends' cross progression was introduced in October 2023 and gradually rolled out to all players in phases. This was a long-requested feature for players like me who played the classic BT-style FPS across various platforms.

It finally let me merge all my Apex Legends accounts to the same EA account and then start from a single cross-progression account. But if you're still having difficulty progressing from one Apex Legends account, I recommend getting some Apex legends boosting to get a head start in the game.

What is Apex Legends Cross Progression?

Previously, long before the cross-progression process was introduced, many Apex Legends players played the BT-style FPS game using multiple accounts, one for each platform account. Developers at Respawn Entertainment soon felt the need to bring players on various platforms under one platform. This was done via a linking system that linked all players' Apex Legends accounts to one EA account.

Cross Progression system looked at your highest account level across all platforms and made it your primary EA account. And if all your Apex Legends accounts are at the same level, the system will look for the highest-level account with the most recent logged-in date. As for your remaining accounts, they then merged into this primary account.

Even though all Apex Legends players had their legend tokens, prize tracks, heirloom shards, and crafting materials carried over as well as had the same balance of Apex coins in their wallet, there were some limitations where platform exclusives remained where they were initially unlocked/purchased.

Notably, all Nintendo Switch purchases remain exclusive to the platform. They were not carried over to a unified EA account. In addition, all Xbox Gold items, including exclusives from the Xbox Founders Edition, are tied to the console. Even PlayStation+ items are exclusive to the PlayStation platform.

Can You Merge Apex Legends Accounts?

Only if they are not linked to different EA accounts. The cross progression will not work if you use o Merge EA accounts to play the BT-style FPS game on different platforms. Since only one EA account will be used to unify your Apex Legends experience for cross progression, your game progress on other EA accounts will be lost.

For example, use one EA account for playing on PC & PlayStation and another for playing on Xbox. You won't be able to carry over your non-exclusive Xbox rewards after cross progression is introduced. You would either have to maintain two different accounts or say goodbye to one of them.

And that's all there is to Apex Legends cross progression.
