When playing a fast-paced, team-based tactical shooter, Valorant from Riot Games, communication is essential for making timely decisions, a solid strategy, and execution. Effective communication among teammates during a round can make or break it. This blog will explain how to use the text chat feature in Valorant: All Chat, Team Chat, and Private Chat to enhance your valorant boost service experience. So, whether you are going all in for a good old spike B rush or planning to roast the opponent team, learning all about Valorant chat commands will get you sorted. Fortunately, using Valorant chat is easy, so set it up as soon as you finish your display and keybind settings in the settings menu.

There are various chat options in Valorant: team chat/party chat, all chat, and private chat. Besides text chat, voice chat enabled is also available if you have a working microphone. So, let's see how to use the chat feature in more detail while playing Valorant. There is no right-click option; only chat commands will help you.

How to Team/Party Chat in Valorant

Chatting with your team, party, friend list, or entire lobby is the most important one on the list. To do a team chat, hit enter while in a match, and it will open a team chat window. But how do you know if it is a team chat window? You will see ‘Team’ written before the message, indicating that this text will only be delivered to your team. When you press enter, the default game settings will take you to the team messages chat window. However, if you do not see Team written in the chat window, then be careful; you do not want your message to be seen by the opposing team. You can also type ‘/party’ or ‘/team’ and hit enter. In the team chat window, you have to type any message, vital intel, strategy, encouragement, or anything you feel like typing and just hit enter to send messages. Viola! Your message will reach your entire team.

Using All Chat Features in Valorant

The All Chat is a place where things get interesting. Here, you can chat with your teammates/ party members and the enemy team. This text box lets you have a general discussion with everyone, a friendly banter with the opposing team, or a good old GG Easy at the end of the game. But be mindful of what you send in this window, as reported messages may get you banned from playing ranked matches. Besides trash talk, this window may also lead to the leakage of sensitive strategies if you are not careful enough. To access the All Chat window, press ‘Shift+Enter’ while in a game. The key here is that before the start of the message, ‘All’ will be visible.

How to Initiate Private Chat in Valorant

After team chat and all chat, another feature allows you to engage in a private chat with a specific player/person. This feature helps you to send DMs, private messages, whisper chat, and engage in personal networking and interactions within a game. To initiate a private chat with a player in the game, open the chat window by hitting enter. Next, type ‘/w [player name]’ ‘space’ and your message, press enter to send. This way, the message will only be visible to the respective player. Hitting Escape will help you in disabling chat.

How to Use Text Chat on Valorant Console

Valorant has recently transitioned into a cross-platform game, meaning console and PC gamers can play together under one roof. This seems exciting, but it has its challenges, especially in the communication department, where console gamers are finding it difficult to use the in-game text chat effectively. So, how can we chat on a Valorant console, then? Let’s find out.

  • First, you need to find a compatible keyboard and plug it into your console
  • Second, hit the Tab button, which will allow the chat window to pop up
  • Third, remember chat type commands and type them in, e.g. /all, /party, or Team chat
  • Type your message after the command
  • Send the message and press escape to close the window.

Using Valorant Voice Chat

Finally, there is no replacement for voice chat, so enable voice chat, as it allows you to communicate easily, efficiently, and quickly in certain situations. The voice chat feature is super important during competitive matches, where getting the information out as soon as possible is the key. You need to press and hold V to enable team voice chat or party voice chat. To turn off voice chat, release the V key.
