Fortnite Map Chapter 6 Season 3 Right Now, OG, Reload
This is an excellent week for Fortnite players. Fortnite's latest seasonal update, the Season 3 of Chapter 6, also known as the "Galactic Battle", just took off on May 2nd. With it, we're witnessing the arrival of a Star Wars-themed gameplay in the classic battle royale for the first time. And Epic Games, like always, has not disappointed us, Fortnite fans. They have changed the current Fortnite map to ensure it lives up to the hype!
I will provide a complete breakdown of the new map locations, features, and more on the island in this article. But if you're short on time and want to quickly progress to unlock all season rewards, upgrades, and items, consider getting Fortnite boosting to save precious days and countless minutes grinding. With that said, let's get started!
Fortnite Galactic Map
The Galactic map is one of the 4 newly introduced maps in Fortnite. It has added loads of Star Wars NPCs (if you've watched the series, you'd instantly recognise them!) and exciting POIs. Here's a detailed list:
New Star Wars POIs:
- First Order Base
- Resistance Base
- Outpost Enclave
Vader Samurai's Solitude
Returning POIs:
- Flooded Frogs
- Magic Mosses
- Pumped Power
- Brutal Boxcars
- Lonewolf Lair
- Shiny Shafts
- Outlaw Oasis
- Foxy Floodgate
- Crime City
- Seaport City
- Shining Span
- Masked Meadows
- Canyon Crossing
- Kappa Kappa Factory
If you play Fortnite every day like me, you'd instantly notice many locations, places, area centers, and landmarks like waterfalls from the previous Season 2 map. That's because this is a seasonal refresh, not a major player update.
Fortnite OG Map
Among the returning POIs, here are the classic ones from the OG Fortnite map:
- Haunted Hills
- Junk Junction
- Pleasant Park
- Anarchy Acres
- Wailing Woods
- Tomato Town
- Lonely Lodge
- Loot Lake
- Dusty Depot
- Snobby Shores
- Retail Row
- Tilted Towers
- Greasy Grove
- Salty Springs
- Fatal Fields
- Shifty Shafts
- Flush Factory
- Moisty Mire
Fortnite Reload Venture Map
The Reload Venture map of Chapter 6 Season 3 is a smaller, fast-paced version of the classic Fortnite game experience. It’s packed with familiar places and areas, but gameplay here is way more intense thanks to the tight space and storm mechanics. Here’s a quick look at the major POIs you’ll be landing at in the game:
Dusty Docks – A good place if you’re after quick loot. Just be careful as the storm moves fast, and the buildings and trees around this area often get hit early.
Lil’ Loot Lake – A small island with one lonely house. It's not the best drop for loot, but it can be a functional late-game area if the circle favors it.
Lone Lodge – A quiet cabin out in the open, covered by the prop trees. There are no buildings near, but you can always find some weapons here (such as the newly introduced Amban Sniper Rifle), but it’s risky—enemies can sneak up on you fast using trees as a cover and hit you. You can also use trees to take cover.
Pleasant Park – Full of loot, but also full of danger. This place is always busy with other players, so land with full health and be ready to hit your enemies.
Retail Row – Great for finding good loot, but don’t stay too long. You’ll want to move out before the storm closes in, so don't land anywhere in the sea nearby. If you do, quickly swim your way out.
Sandy Sheets – A small and simple creation of a building and pool. Not much loot in this place, but sometimes it's all you need in an hour. Every minute of the day counts in Fortnite.
Snobby Shoals – This area offers solid loot and a peaceful start—just stay alert.
Tilted Towers – Still iconic. Still wild. Land here only if you’re feeling bold! Many buildings around this place often hide valuable items inside. Make sure to find them on the floors and equip them.
Fortnite Reload Oasis Map
The Oasis map is the second Reload map in Fortnite, and it rotates with the Venture map every 30 minutes. So if you’re hopping into matches often, you’ll get a good chance to try both. Oasis brings a warm, desert-themed environment with incredible places to drop and loot. Let’s take a closer look at all the central POI locations in the Reload Oasis map:
Adobe Adobes – This is one of the best beginning landing places. There are many chests to find here, and while it can get busy with players, the loot is spread out enough across buildings and rooms that you still have a good chance to gear up quickly.
TIP: If you can't find a good loot on the first floor in the buildings, try the second floor!
Fossil Fields – A great place if you prefer a slower start and then progress gradually. It’s on the edge of the map and with relatively fewer buildings, though you can loot safely before advancing toward the center.
Guaco Town – This area is usually less crowded with players, so the difficulty is not high, making it perfect if you want a quieter drop-in starting couple of minutes in the game. Good loot is hard to find, but it is suitable for survival plays.
Lizard Links – Most of the game action happens inside the big main building rooms here. This is an excellent choice if you like fast fights, cool hits, and finishing off enemies in style.
Paradise Palms – The type of place every player wants to go to. Packed with chests, drop here only if you’re ready for chaos and work your way up the ranked ladder. Otherwise, lie low and don't copy what others are doing. If you find a car or truck, quickly get into it and ride far away from the battleground stage.
Shady Springs – Loot is nicely spread out on the room floors in this place. Try heading to the southwest corner in the game's early minutes for a better start. It'll buy you enough time to process your surroundings and create the plan for your end game.
Snobby Sands – The best loot is in the eastern house, so land first to get an edge.
Sunburnt Shafts – This area has a high loot potential, but it gets picked clean fast in the starting minutes of the game. Don’t waste a bit of time here.
Twisted Trailers – Limited loot outside the main area, so find loot quickly and rotate north into greener zones covered by trees by following the road, but make sure not to get run over by other players.
To Wrap It Up
I haven't been this happy in Fortnite since last October when Fortnitemares launched. Season 3 of Chapter 6 is my favourite and at its peak. Can you say the same?
